Introduction |
Fluorenol is a widely used anti-plasmodium drug. It is also the main drug component of Coartem, a well-known antimalarial drug of Novartis. It can kill the asexual body of Plasmodium in the red inner phase with a high killing rate and a cure rate of about 95%, but it is not effective for the red early phase and gametophyte. The animal experiments were microtoxic, but the mutagenic and teratogenic tests were negative. Yellow crystalline powder, bitter almond odor, tasteless. |
Application |
It is mainly used for the treatment of falciparum malaria, especially for the treatment of falciparum malaria resistant to chloroquine. |
