Introduction |
Timicocin is a relatively new macrolide antibiotics for livestock and poultry, which is semi-synthesized from tallosin. The chemical name is 4A-O- (2, 6-dideoxy-3-C-methyl-L-ribo-pyranhexyl) -20-deoxy-20 – (3, 5-dimethyl-1-piperidyl) – [20 (cis: Trans)] tallosin, molecular formula C46H80N2O13, molecular weight 869.15. The antimicrobial spectrum of temicorin was similar to that of tylostins, but it had enhanced effects against Pasteurella haemorrhagic sepsis and Pasteurella hemolyticus. |
Application |
Tilmicosin is a macrolide antibiotic. It is mainly used for the treatment of pleuropneumonia, actinobacillus, Pasteurella and mycoplasma infection. |
