Introduction |
Tammycin fumarate is a kind of bacteriostatic antibiotic belonging to the class of amphorin. It is a derivative of AMphorin, but it also has bactericidal effect on sensitive bacteria at very high concentration. Like macrolides, tammycin fumarate inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the ribosomal 50S subunit. This product has good antibacterial activity against many gram-positive bacteria including most staphylococcus and streptococcus (except group D streptococcus), many mycoplasma and treponema dysentery. |
Application |
It is used to treat pig pneumonia caused by Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and pig blood dysentery caused by treponema. As a drug additive in pig feed, it can promote weight gain. It is also effective for chronic respiratory tract disease of chicken, mycoplasma pneumonia of pig and synovitis of chicken staphylococcus. |
