Introduction | Oxytetracycline (OTC), also known as dimycin, Oxytetracycline, 5-hydroxytetracycline, is a tetracycline, a broad spectrum of antibiotics, which is effective against Gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus, hemolytic streptococcus, Clostridium tetanus and Clostridium difficile. To e. coli, pap coli, klebsiella, gas capsule clostridium, druze, bloodthirsty bacillus, salmonella bacillus and brucella gram-negative bacteria effectively, moreover also can inhibit the rickettsia, mycoplasma, chlamydia, helix, actinomyces, and some parasite pathogenic microorganisms, such as therefore is widely used as antibacterial agent and growth promoters in animal husbandry and aquaculture. |
Application | Oxytetracycline has inhibitory effect on gram-positive bacteria and gram-negative bacteria, and also acts as a growth promoter.
Oxytetracycline has a broad spectrum of antibacterial action. |
