Introduction |
Itopride has a unique dual mechanism of action. It not only stimulates the release of acetylcholine, but also inhibits its degradation through the synergistic effect of blocking Dopamine (D2) receptor and inhibiting the activity of acetylcholinesterase (AchE), so as to play a dual gastrointestinal motility effect. |
Application |
Itoprib is indicated for dyspeptic symptoms caused by slowing gastrointestinal motility (e.g., functional dyspepsia, chronic gastritis, etc.), including epigastric fullness, epigastric pain, loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting. |
